June 20,  2018  -  Is Your Name in the Lamb's Book of Life?

Bible Verse of the Day:

God's Word on Judgement Day:

Revelation 20:11-15 (KJV)

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books; according to their works.

13. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them; and they were judged every man according to their works.

14. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15. And whosoever was not found in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

How then can we guarantee our names will be in the Lamb's Book of Life when we face God on the Day of Judgement?

Romans 10: 9-10 -

9 - That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe to thine heart that God hath raised him (Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 - For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

SALVATION: WHY WE NEED IT!

A. Man in this world is blinded by the Prince of this world (Satan). We must pray that God will open their hearts to receive the Truth that will give them hope, liberty, and Freedom in this life and life eternal

B. Salvation implies deliverance, safety, preservation, healing, and soundness. It occurs in Scripture in three phases:

Phase One: Saved from guilt and penalty of sin, Jesus paid this in full on the Cross in our place and rose again on the third day

Phase two: We are saved from the habit and dominion of sin in the life (Go and sin no more).

Phase 3: When the Lord returns, the Christian will be saved from all the physical results of sin and God's curse on the world.

To receive this salvation (this gift from the very GOD that created man, just confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and BELIEVE in your heart that God raised him from the dead and thou shalt be saved! (There is no greater love!)

John Newton, the man behind the popular Christian hymn, Amazing Grace, was once sold into slavery and as an adult, ran a slave ship that took captured African slaves to be sold in the slave markets.  As he realized he was spiritually lost, he gave his life to Christ and spent the rest of his life to end the slave trade in England with the help of William Wilberforce, a 19th Century English statesman.

John Newton worked at a church for the remainder of his life.  As he grew older, he became physically blind and depended on an attendant at his church to help him write down the lyrics and his memoirs.

Revelation 21:1-15 (KJV)

21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Did you know the word "Hallelujah!" means "God be Praised!" and its closely related word "Alleluia" means "He is risen!" ?

The coming of the Lord

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (KJV)

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

As believers in the Body of Christ

6/20/18

As believers in the Body of Christ

Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)

1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Note: God’s will refers to His purpose for the life of the believer. It implies His guidance or direction in all of life’s decisions. Dedication is an act of surrender or submission to His will for our lives, whereby we become a “living sacrifice”.

Daily dependence on God results in our transformation into the image of Christ. We must be committed to doing the will of God as revealed in the Word of God.

What is the Gospel of Grace?

6/20/18
What is the Gospel?  I Corinthians 15:1-4 states that:

15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

The Gospel is what we stand on as believers, what we are saved by and will be judged according to Paul's Gospel.  (Scripture Ref. Romans 2:16; Galatians 1:6:10)

MAN IS IN THIS WORLD BLINDED BY THE PRINCE OF THIS WORLD. WE MUST PRAY THAT GOD WILL OPEN THEIR HEARTS TO RECEIVE THE TRUTH THAT WILL GIVE THEM HOPE, LIBERTY, AND FREEDOM IN THIS LIFE AND LIFE ETERNAL.

Salvation implies deliverance, safety, preservation, healing, and soundness. It occurs in Scripture in three phases: 1st saved from guilt and penalty of sin. 2nd saved from the habit and dominion of sin in the life. 3rd when the Lord returns, the Christian will be saved from all the physical results of sin and GOD’s curse on the world.

THAT IF THOU SHALT CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, AND SHALT BELIEVE IN THINE HEART THAT GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, THOU SHALT BE SAVED*. (THERE IS NO GREATER LOVE!
